(© Joseph Marzullo/WENN) | Tony Award winner Tyne Daly will star as opera legend Maria Callas in the Kennedy Center's production of Terrence McNally's Master Class, to run March 25-April 18. The production will be directed by Stephen Wadsworth. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.
The show will run along with two of McNally's other plays, The Lisbon Traviata (March 20-April 11) and Golden Age (March 12-April 14) as part of the Kennedy Center's "Terrence McNally: Nights as the Opera" series.
Daly is currently starring Off-Broadway in Love, Loss, and What I Wore. She received the Tony for Gypsy, and her many stage credits include Rabbit Hole, The Seagull, and Me, Myself, and I. She is well-known for her Emmy Award-winning roles on Judging Amy and Cagney & Lacey.
