(© Joseph Marzullo/WENN) | Stage veterans Ian McKellen, Michael Sheen, and Kevin Spacey were among the winners at this year's Variety Club Showbusiness Awards, which were announced on Saturday, November 14 during a ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel.
McKellen picked up the award for outstanding contribution to show business; Spacey, the artistic director of the Old Vic, was honored for his outstanding contribution to British Theatre; and Sheen was named the Film Actor of the Year.
The Awards, now in their 57th year, are held to raise significant funds for and awareness of the work that The Variety Club undertakes to help sick, disabled, and disadvantaged children and young people.
