Mary Bond Davis will play Violetta, Cleavant Derricks will play Sweet Daddy, and Darius de Haas will play Maurice in the R&B and gospel holiday musical Best of Both Worlds, to run November 21 - January 3 at the American Repertory Theater. Tony Award nominee Diane Paulus will direct.

With book and lyrics by Randy Weiner and music by Diedre Murray, the show takes its inspiration from Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale. Also featured in the company are Gregg Baker (Ezekiel), Jeanette Bayardelle (Serena), Nikkieli DeMone (Camillo), Brianna Horne (Rain), Sebastien Lucien (Mamillius), and Lawrence Stallings (Tariq). Throughout the run, the production will also feature a rotating roster of Greater Boston's most celebrated gospel choirs, including community, university, and church choirs.

The creative team includes Riccardo Hernandez (scenic design), Emilio Sosa (costume design), Aaron Black (lighting design), and Brett Jarvis (sound design).
